Shin Ramyun

Wikipedia to the rescue.

These things are painful to eat yet so good at the same time. I don’t remember when I first had it, but they’re everywhere now. Even Superstore and Costco have them. According the wikipedia, the pros add kimchi or extra hot sauce to it. Also saw on youtube that some people put a slice of cheese on it. I don’t think I’ll ever try that. I have it with an egg, thick sauce style.

No picture because my WP picture-adding function is funky.

those red and white korean instant noodles? Yeah, they’re pretty good. By “painful” do you mean spicy? They’re not that bad….

I also add egg to mine. And sometimes carrots and onions. But I try not to eat instant noodles too often. :P

These are painfully spicy.. tongue starts to hurt halfway through the eating process.

Maybe the one you’re talking about is the red/white kimchi ramen (which they also have at various places).
