Remember back in 2006 I posted a confusing visit to Guu with Garlic? Probably not, that’s why I provided a link. Good thing I ported my lj entries.

We went to Guu again the other day, and ordered the Ton-toro, along with a bunch of other stuff. The night was crystal clear, no confusions, except near the end of the meal, the Ton-toro came, and the guy said “Po_Chee_”.

I thought, “oh no, not the ponchi business again.”
The place was loud, and I have old man’s ears. But the stars lined up that night, and I figured it out.

He said “Pork Cheek”. (!?) So simple. it’s English!

I was also confused by the extra saltyness. It’s like they added salt twice.

I don’t even know why it took another visit to figure this out.
I could’ve just be sitting at my desk, have thunder strike somewhere, and all the sudden I’d know the answer. Or, be picking up hotpot meat and realizing it’s labeled “Pork Cheek”.

Thanks for reading the first pointless-tagged post. Just wanted to share the happyness of a question answered.

After my last post I stepped out my front door and found a Cherry tree to take pics of. It’s fun taking pictures like these, and adjusting (i.e. Photoshopping) them. But looking at pedals after pedals is really boring, so I’ll show only one here.

I would provide a link to the Set, but I have no sets.

Some of the pictures look exactly like the Sakura Pics from Anpachi, except the Anpachi ones are still so much better… Hey, are these really Cherry blossoms..? They don’t look like they have a lot of pedals.

• I finally get to see my solar-power plants move.
• Why doesn’t the X360 have built-in Wi-Fi?
• My broken Ixy is painful to use.
• Car antenna still broken. Lazy to fix.
• Slowly watching 24. At this rate I’ll finish season 5 five years later.

I’m gonna go try take some macro pictures now.

At least until I get more pictures to post.
This flickr plugin does wonders. It encourages me to post photos I didn’t think of posting, and now I’m forced to write about them.

The two girls in the back are my cousins. They’re both adorable and both living the best times of their lives in Taiwan. Family is great, and it’s too bad that in this oversimplified world, Money is essentially the only thing stopping us from visiting each other more often.
In the front are the chestnuts. They’re adorable too. I can buy them here.
