Haagen-Dazs
I was watching food network yesterday and I found out that Haagen-Dazs is not European. It’s not like how Mercedes-Benz is not 100% European either. Mercedes-Benz at least started in Germany, and got bought.
Wikipedia has the details, but I guess it’s just one of those trivias I never knew. I’ve always thought they’re so expensive because they’re imported or something.
Now I can totally relate to the people in Japan. They probably think Glico Pocky is French.
I never thought it is an European brand, but those two dots about the “a” can be misleading. I am a little pissed at “In the USA and Canada, the product is now a NestlĂ© brand.”
above
they sounded swedish to me. Like Ikea furniture names.
