I wonder how long it’d take before my replacement drive arrive.
Apparantly it’s still under warranty, and I get to have a “new or
refurbished” replacement. Given that hard drives fail that often, I’m
surprised this is my first time taking advantage of hd warranties.
But this also means that I’ll be stuck with this ticky Maxtor for more
years to come. I still remember the ticking bugged everyone (especially
steve) when we were watching movies in my room. If alex were to graph
out our veins twitching vs. the hd ticks vs, time, it would be a
straight line hovering in 3d space. It bugged me too, a lot, actually,
but it’s my own hd, can’t do much about it. Besides, endurance
is the way of the Ninjas, and I’ve been enduring a lot of things all my
life. I *almost* went out and bought a Samsung (its said to be even
quieter than a Seagate(!)) this weekend.
And larry just sent me a link to some Pentax *istDS pics earlier today. And he’s not even into cameras.
The DS is actually really cool (I mean the pentax). It’s the smallest
dSLR in the world, and one of the cheapest too. let’s see, around 12cm
wide…
Barely any noise at ISO1600. My God.
last week translink called and did a upass survey. Asked me so many
questions like, “do you know who funds the upass?” “how do you rate
your translink experience?”
“Should we sell Onigiri on the bus?”
“Why aren’t you in class right now?”
Speaking of that, my bus driver is a stressed and angry bus driver. He
pretty much ruins my day with his meaningless honking on the road. He
thinks everyone on the street is stupid, and he owns the street.
Sometimes I get him on the return trip too. There was once when a chinese lady yelled “Stupid!” at him.
I don’t bus anymore. I cracked and drive now. No ninja material.
Of course I didn’t tell this to the surveyer. Usually I have my stock
answer “Sorrynotinterested” when I get these calls. But this time she
asked for me by name, so i got soft.
Man i need some pictures on my page. Have you noticed one of the new
friend i added? He posts some of the most amazing pictures I’ve seen
(not just the one with the girl and her precious showing).
And has someone asked you about peanut butter?
