Typical Dinner

Tonight I took my camera down to the caf and got some detailed images of today’s menu: Korokke Setto.

It actually took me some effort to try to figure out how to spell Korokke. I tried Google’s image search on crokette, crokett, and various other variations, but all yielded either the sport or insect. No potate pies.. So I headed over to ‘s to find the right spelling. Well Ben used the japanese spelling. So I will too. If anyone knows, he knows.

“Overview”

The old me from Canada would probably be really happy for eating this. But not me. It’s been 3 hours since I came back up, and I’m still feeling quite bad from it.

“Seafood”

This was actually good. I had a bite and thought, this is worth taking a picture of.

And today was the worst day for taking pictures. We bumped into Evanson and his Japanese co-worker, so I was taking pictures in front of this Japanese guy, who probably thinks I’m on a diet.

“Corn”

Corn was good too. Quite sweet. I’m trying to think of more to write here, but that requires me to re-imagine how it was like when I was biting into it and chewing it… which is quite a painful thing to ask myself to do.

“Miso soup”

Some parts of me took this picture just to tease Alex. Here’s a guy that loves miso soup, vows to take every different type of miso soup the caf has to offer, and then always forgetting his camera.

Today’s miso soup was good. Again, the old me would love it. I do still like it. And that red spice Steve introduced me to gave it a new kick.

Oh man, I just burped and the smell of the various Korokkes is coming out of me…

“Yuck”

I was hoping this would be more visually appealing. It was the flagship Korokke of the meal. (The meal was titled “Beef Stew Korokke “)

After cutting it open I wasn’t going to take a picture of it. But the gooey stuff started to climb out of the shell and onto the plate. I thought this would be entertaining to some. So Here it is.

It was a filling dinner. I could only eat 30% of the rice. Hope you are full after reading this post.
